Last years buck, only the second one in 12 yrs of rifle hunting. It was big for a 5 point. Shot it with a 243 I built for my little brother. He will be hunting in 2 years, and I wanted to be sure it had enough killing power. One behind the shoulder, and he went maybe 50 yds, but that was downhill momentum. Used the same rifle for a head shot on a doe, and a neck shot on another doe, dropped both where they stood. Low recoil, accurate, and plent umphhh to get the job done. 100gr nosler ballistic tips, handloaded.
