How much center serving is needed above and below your D-Loop? I was thinking of only going maybe an 1"-1.5" out from where the D-loop will mount. It won't be finger shot so I don't really see any benefit to going further. What do you think?

3 to 4 inches is all I use. It was 7" standard at one point.

Mine is about 4", keeps the serving tight with alittle more wraps, but I don't see what difference a shorter serving would make.

I went with 4 inches but that took me up above the SOS.

I started low and went high with the twist of the string. It seems some like to go with the twist and others against the twist. I don't know the advantages or disadvantages but that is what I did.

Peep rotation is caused by going against the twist. Serving against the twist causes the string to untwist. Once you draw the string it twists back. Thus causing the peep to rotate

4" to 4 1/2" if its done correctly.

I lied, it is 3.5" not 4" like I thought. It is about 3/4" below the D-loop to the top of the SOS. If need be I'll do it again. I can't really see why it would need to be any longer?

3-4 inches is all that I use as well. Just enough to cover for the D-loop and SOS on my new bows, and on the older STS type bows, I use a 3 1/2 inch center serving, then also a 3 1/2 inch for the STS. More serving then neccessary just slows the string down.

I have about 1" of serving for my STS, it's just the length of the STS and no more.

I was thinking of going shorter and have the bottom part of the d-loop directly on the strands, no serving there. With a loop most of the pressure is going up anyway.
