It was 91 degrees today, and by Friday it's supposed to hit 95 degrees here. Those are Gilmanton temperatures. I would imagine Concord will probably hit 100 or be very close. What's weird is that at night the temperature drops out, it's currently 65 degrees(it's almost 11:00pm)!!! This is something like what a desert does.

So Destroyer, how's winter going down there?:D

Highs from 99-104 this week. Lowest low is 78. Yesterday was 102 at 4 pm. Nothing like walking out the door at 5:30 am and it's already 85 degrees out. Humidity is hovering around 50-60% all day. And it's not even August yet! lol

Much the same here. I really had an urge to go shooting yesterday evening and the wife said I should if I wanted to. Walked out the door and just turned right around. Besides, the gnats would eat me alive.

We've had so much rain lately the mosquitoes are like crazy, so I shoot in the basement when its like this. I thought I would only shoot indoors in the basement in the winter but the bugs and the heat this year are too much. Maybe I am getting soft in my youth :D

Currently it is 95 degrees with heat index of 105 degrees. I just finished mowing my 1 + acre yard with a lawn tractor that needs repaired. Try removing the battery to put back on the drive belt, re-assemble, mow for 10 to 15 minutes and go throught getting the belt back on. Yeppers, it was/is hot. Yes, it's going to the shop, but I R here to tell you the weather wasn't as hot as I was. Even the wife side stepped me..... And so far, no end in sight and the ASA state championship is this weekend.

sounds like your belt has streched.i run an exmark laser z and i have to replace the belts every year due to streching,i do all the work on my mower.cant bring myself to pay someone else to do it.lol

Mark, that forecast looks pretty common for your area, but I don't think you can blame the temperatures for your "errors" on these forums. You can say it, but I'm not buying it. LOL.

I remember such temps when I lived there in 1968 (Tinker AFB) and I had a car without AC at the time. It was no fun toolin west on I-40 with the windows up--couldn't take the wind burn. Some people say "yeah, but it's a dry heat. No humidity". BULL, 107 degrees is hot no matter the humidity.

It was 38 degrees C here today. Too hot for shooting, so i've spent the afternoon making a wooden riser for a new take down bow.... A huge mistake! :D

There was a good item on our local news last evening that I thought worth mentioning. A guy took a T-bone steak, put it in an aluminum pan, and placed it on the dashboard of a car out in the sun. It took quite a while, but that darn thing got cooked enough to be med-well done. Temp. got up to 195 F inside the car.

Made me wonder if we could do the same thing with and have "French Fried ONIONS". Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope. Not belt stretch. Just put on a new belt trying to get the thing catching all gears, 7 of them. Will pull itself in the first 3. I think that the speed pulley is hanging up, not adjusting to catch up the belt. Ranch King for you. You'd think it should hold up for more than 10 years..... If it's a easy fix I might even have them change the spark plug. And I do think plugs should be changed every 10 years....

who needs spark plugs, highly over rated.lol...for a 10 year old mower it should be ging like a champ still.im guessing about 400 hours or less on it.my ex mark is 5 years old with around 950 hours and only major problem ive had was the pto clutch bearing blew up right befor memorial day.but its a $12,000 mower and im needing to trade it in soon.mowers are too much fun.this is how i roll.http://images.imagelinky.com/1311217596.jpg (http://images.imagelinky.com/1311217596.jpg)

At first I was going to say something smart ass'ey like I wish it was that warm here but I don't like heatwaves. We have them here and I can't stand it, I don't have air-conditioning so its really draining and all I want is for it to end.

So Destroyer, you haven't told me how winter's going down there.:D

Not a typical winter, it feels colder because of the moisture level or some crap like that. Less consistent rain as well.

7 day forecast: only 2 days next week UNDER 100. Those days are supposed to be 98 & 99 degrees too. Long term forecast is for this kind of heat until the end of Sept. Late July, and hardly a green blade of grass left in this area. Bring on the grass fires! lol If you want to feel better about the 80-90's in your area, type area code 66762 in the search at weatherbug.com. lol
