Just got my new bow and am I excited. I want to begin to sit my bow up. I would like to try and set the bow up myself but one of the first things I need to sit is the draw weight. I do not have a scale so I am going to have to go Gander Mountain to get the draw weight set. Any suggestions? Are Martin bows set at a predetermined draw weight?

If your bow is a 55-70# it is set at 70" . You can max out the limb bolts to 70 all the way in, then 1 full turn out is 3# so if you turn out 4 turns that is 12# but dont go more than 5full turns out as stated in the Martin cataloge! If it is a differnt DW the same rulle applys Max the limb bolts fullley in and then 1 full turn take 3# of DW off!
