So everyone down here has been wanting some rain to put a dent in the extreme drought that we have down here and by drought I mean that it has not rained 24" yet. So what answers our prayers a friggin tropical storm!! We are looking at about 15" they say so if this does not get us out of the drought nothing will I guess. The only good thing is that the ground at the lease will be soft so disking will be a piece of cake.

Wish me luck. I just went an got 55gal of diesel for the tractor so that I can run the PTO generator that we have so at least we can have electricity if it goes out. We have already battened down the hatches and the batteries for flashlights are charged.

We have been through a 10 year drought up to the start of this year, now lots of rain, too much in some places. Wish you the best Sharxfan! :)

Hope it works out for you Sharx. We are in a drought as well here in the midwest. Farmers are cutting down corn for silage rather than the ears. There's going to be very little if any good, useable corn from this area this year. Thankfully, a few small rains have the beans looking decent, but we definitely need some more rain on them. Acorns are smaller than I have ever seen them too. Yards have been brown since June. Trees dropping leaves since July. Just a bad summer all around for everyone I think.
