Hey Guys, I like to test things cheap or expensive! I have some expensive arrows, medium priced, and just bought some cheap $4. arrows. In testing them out the do weight a bit. But they fly great. Broadhead testing they hit well all the way out to 40yds. I guess anyway you look at it. Its a dead deer.

i bought some of them last year. the ones w green/white blazers. i thought the flew pretty good. the fletching comes of too easy though. looking forward to the test results.

i also bought some Carbon Express 2216 aluminum arrows for $2/ea. they fly good but bend way to easy. well, compared to the 2315's and 2117's i used to shoot

The carbon exacta arrows we bought are made by Allen. They are inexpensive but work well. Cut in an arrow saw the cut well. They are a stiffer arrow so you might have to use 125grain bh. But as far as distance shooting so far they are fine.

Hey if we loose one who cares they are cheap enough.

Hutch, what kind of quiver is that? and where are the F15's? you shoot anything w them yet? That is a Martin WildMan fast. It is nice looking but it is heavy. Its my daughters that is why you don't see F-15's in the pic:p No I haven't shot anything with the F-15's because its been repair car month all 3:mad: I have only been out once and I am not happy.

Sure you weren't looking at the Carbon Express box?I believe you are right MLN .0065" if I remember right. Spine is 400 and 45-70 if I remember right there as well and 11.3 gpi. I did a research on them many guys are saying robin hoods at 40yards and accurate groups. All I am concerned with is killing a deer.

im with ya on that. started season w the the flu, turned into bronchitis, then got strep throat. in the middle of it all,my wife loaned out my car and it ended up getting wrecked. scrapped that one,and now the ball joint just went out on our other car the other day and its been wind a rain since. but i manage to sneak across the road and hunt public land for the last hour of light a couple times. not ideal, but its time in the woods. i haven't been able to hunt any of my private land stands yet. but, staying positive,at least those spots are going undisturbed and scent free. i might as well stay out of them entirely til the chase begins.

I was in Walmart the other day, and thought about buying a few carbon arrows. I just bought 4 doz. new aluminum arrows, which is what I prefer, but the Walmart specials were cheap enough to experiment with. Picked out three nice ones that I thought would work...was really kind of hard to tell by the markings on the arrows and box. Then I noticed down on the bottom of the shelf, kind of off to the side, there was a chart that had all the arrows on it, what they were made from, stiffness, average straigtness, etc. Come to find out, the "Carbon Express" arrows I had in my hand weren't carbon at all, but fiberglass. A closer study of the chart also revealed none of the arrows available were a close enough fit for my bow, draw length, etc., etc. So I gave up.

I also have that quiver very nice, good quality too.Really like how it has a soft rubber in the hood instead of foam.

just picked up a dozen last night. a few inches longer than what i shoot now(29"vs. 26.75"). i picked up some reflective stickers to help w finding them after dark. Deer season is about done(Jan. 1st) and i'm already looking forward to smokin' some coons this spring. i'm down to my last 2 HT-2's. thanks,in part to my coon obcession. lol. that's why i picked these up. who knows? if they can take some abuse,i might just buy more for deer. will keep y'all posted.

My local WM has been sold out of those for a long time. You better get them while the getting is good. Once WM move to the next season you won't be able to get them until next year.

For not being able to get to your private land hunting stands. you're doing pretty good. Wan't that you that just stacked up another doe last week? :) Think I wander over to wally's world and bring a tape with me , seems to me the Carbon Express was real cheap the other day. I'll report back if I turn up anything of intrest.
