Came across this front axel from Model A, down in the timber, along an old road. Think that its been there for a while. We were on a deer highway, a deeply worn trail cutting thru a stand of timber.

While following this highway ES finds a bow!

After we finally work our way down to the flats, ( the tall 3 by's core area ) we take a rest, and hang up some of the gear we're packing.

took the load off as 4x5 said ..was a well needed rest sadly we went on to find a poacher was in our area...SMALL gut pile and "broken" easton axis
n-fused arrow that they had stuck into a ceader ( by hand)

needless to say we were not happy.. did get on some deer but just doe's and they are off limits..for us any way.

Ya know that the Poacher is now up on our hit list, about a month ago one of out trail cams was busted, looked like it was head butted, or anyway a sideways blow to it, broke one the mounting loops on the back and cracked the case causing light leaks, so all pics are whited out, we're now wondering if the poacher did'nt get caught by the cam and he took a limb to it, now have a trail cam on the gut pile, flash off, wraped in camo mesh hidden in the brush, can't see it, but it can see any movement. Doubt if he'll be back to that spot, but if he is, he'll get caught again. already pretty sure how he came into the unit, where he parked and what he drives, now just wanting a pic to go with all other info to the land owners. Really tics me off that the guy comes in there and kills one of the youngsters, I'd say a yearling, just judging by the size of the gut pile, about half the size of the pile from the D-I-L's doe.

The front end is on an old homestead that has been in the owners family so long that the road leading to it is named after the family. So I think that one of the current owner's uncles wrecked the old model A's front end, got another one and hauled it down there and swaped it out, leaving the old and busted right there, come on down, I'll show it to ya. :D

Darn GD, doing better than I am! All the whitetails I've seen so far have been smaller than our Blacktails are. Of course, that may have something to do with I only see the yearlings as future game, not shooters, part of the reason I'm so PO'ed at that poacher.

sooner or later i will make my way out your guys way.the white tail we seen was just huge.seen 4 blacks standing in peoples yards, stareing at us knowing we cant shoot them.they were good size but the white doe was just a monster.spent 2 or so hours tracking her.i have never seen one on the coast range befor and this was in stott mountain or maybe grand ron
