I was asked if I used Alum still. the real question was about the Uni bushing..

As promised here is a picture of my Beat up Uni Bushings

5161

You will note the center Un damaged one .. for now (its new)
while the outer 2 are scared and the dip I had done is chiped.. They can take a hit as you can see buy the dents... these bad boy arrows weigh in at 525 and the worst i have done is blow apart a nock or 3 and rip up some fletching in 11 years.. that and of corse buy new ones...lol
So if your thinking of ...Why not use Alum, I say go for it One dose not have to use swedged ends if one don't want to...lol

glue the uni bushing In, press in nock and rotate it where you want it

Hey, I've seen those logs before, last time I saw one in action, it blew thru a fat blacktail and continued another 15 yds! Tough to stop those heavy weights! :)

Not totally, but they do afford some protection to the rear of the arrow. What they also do is help keep the arrow from splitting if you are one who likes to bust nocks.

For the most part I have used CB busings and G-nocks for about 15 years now. Although smaller than UNI bushings they are intended for use in most common size carbon arrows. Along with the protection afforded I am of the opinion that G-nocks are better quality than most nocks, being more uniform in groove size from lot to lot.

What they do is let a guy shoot a perfect spine weight and have press in nocks ..
that one can index, or change on the range , or in the field..

ya i will shoot with ya.....shot you knocks off.lol

im not the guy who trys to bust up the knocks, but im am for sure the bustie.my buddy i shoot with is allways trying to split my arrows.to avoid that i switchd from neon gree knocks to a dark red so he cant see them that well.i have even switchd out some of his knocks with my bright green ones(when he was on a nature break) and well it worked.he split his own arrow thinking it was mine.i fell to the ground laughing so hard when he shot it.

the guy was like so why are you laughing man i just hooded your arrow.well when he gets up ther he then sees why i was busting up so hard.dude now checks his arrows befor shooting.dident think it was so funny when he split his own 7 dollar arrow:cool:;):D

GD,that is SO rude! I love it. gotta remember that one.
as far as nocks go, sometime i really miss my 2315's w unibushings. i might get some more. Heavy aluminums and a 125gr Muzzy are a bada$$ combo. This is only my second season with carbons,so I'm sure I'll reunite with the aluminums eventually.
