Picked up a recurve the other day just for the fun factor.
Never knew it would be so hard on my one good finger. I ended up with a dime sized blood blister on the pad of my ring finger, had fun though...LOL

Nice shooting Don.

I like recurve bows, but I'm a terribly inconsistent shot and the time it would take me to get consistent, is better spent improving my form with a compound.

I do like Hungarian bows though, I have a few of them, and I'm intending to get a Japanese Yumi sometime this year.

Here's a few photos of me with my 80lb Magyr bow, shooting a suit of reproduction Roman armour for an archeology study (the armour was 45 yards away).

I'd like to do more horse archery, but my boy Harry REALLY does not like bows (I'm sitting on my wife's mare in the photo).

Still, with a little time and patience...and some apples, I'm sure I could get him used to almost anything.
