Looking at these two bows the pantera and the silencer with the nitro cams. Both bows will be 28" 70lbs. Which one and why?? I have read good reviews on both.

Have you shot either of them? One may feel better than the other and make the decision that much easier. Good luck, you probably can't go wrong with either one.

if the timing isnt quite right on either of the bows it could ruin the feel of it... looks and cost technically should be the only real differance.

i would take the silencer sight unseen. has to be a great bow, and there's a 60#er on flea bay right now for 399$. i dont see how you can beat that deal. come to think about that may be the best deal on a new speed bow anywhere. how can you go wrong with a brand new 400$ martin? with a ibo of 335-345? haven't researched the 2012 panatera other than i think the older panatera's look better IMO, and the '11 panatera has virtually the same cams/specs as a '11 ridge hunter which costs less. I will say i think the 2011 panatera leopard shown in the catalog is very unique. would like to have seen one in person, just arent alot of them available that i found.

He could be talking about the new for 2012 34" Pantera? Still a tough call either way.

was in altus okla. yesterday , martin dealer there had a pantera, bengal pro, and a onza 3, all 2012s . man that bengal is a nice looking bow. i would like the ata of the pantera on the bengal riser. onza is the same as my 2010 onza except with the new sts. the new camo is really good looking .

The longer ATA was one of the things that I liked about the Pantera............plus the longer sight window.

Even at 5'8" and a 27" draw I'd take the longer ata bow every time. Best modern bows I've ever shot were in the 38" range. My Alien Z is close at 36" and is a shooter. My Nemisis at 34" isn't quite as stable, but OK if used as a hunting bow; just not the ultimate for target. Guess that's why I have to get off my duff and order an Scepter V.

they were all 70#s and i didn't have time for him to set the bengal to a lower draw wt.
i was afraid to shoot one, might not be able to leave without one!

I would go with the Silencer based on the speed. JMHO.
