Booyah Grammah! Finally got it.

Initial thoughts, I was blown away at this thing. The looks of the bow are unreal. The weight on this thing is amazing. I'm definitely planning on changing out the strings (Hutch ;) ) right now they are red/green. Chances are I'll end up swapping out the sight and possibly the rest. Might even complete the circle and change out the stabilizer while I'm at it. But so far, I'm pretty jazzed. Took a few shots tonight and it feels really good. Got to get the draw dialed in and work with the draw stop a little. It feels super frim and solid on the draw and sure as heck feels fast!

Will do more photos/review on it when it is officially set up and tuned :D

Got the cams timed up and started sighting in. Put a new TR Firewire V5 on it. Going to be tricky, my 30 pin is almost right no top of my 20 ... so that is going to take some finesse when it is all set up being able to dial in those shots. Some more pictures.

FloGreen Speck / Kiwi strings on the way. Black Limb Driver on the way - trading the QAD, don't think it is dropping fast enough. Gotta dial up someone for some FloGreen D-loop cord for the LD and d-loop. Green/Black Sling on the way. Finishing up a deal for some GT XT Hunters, will have Green vanes on the way for those.

Going to be a black and green machine!

Another piece of the puzzle showed up today. Got a Limb Driver on it now, swapped the QAD on AT. Wasn't liking the rest and felt like it wasn't dropping fast enough. Strings were put in the mail today and sling also shipped. Arrows should be coming from a friend soon too. Don't want to run any more shots on it until the strings/arrows are here.

awesome looking bow for sure. as for the pin issues. Before I bought a slider sight I had a montana black gold 6 pin. set at 20,40,50,60,70,80. I figured that at 30 just use either 20,or 40 or split them. happy shooting

Let's see a picture of your pin spacing.

Let's see a picture of your pin spacing.

Don't have it fully sighted in yet. Waiting on some new arrows to arrive along with the strings from JRH to really get deep into setting it up. I can shoot my Velocitys right now, but they are a little short for my comfort on this bow. Need to go with something slightly longer, hence the new sticks coming. They are going to be a touch heavier so that could open the gap up a little.

Not a bad idea going 20-40 and splitting for 30s. Going to have to wait and see how it all shakes out when I get the new arrows shooting.

Another piece to the puzzle came today!

Straight'N Arrow Bow Slings (http://snaarchery.com/index.html) - super tight braid, absurdly fast turnaround. Safety Green/Black cobra with a Lime streak thrown in the braid.

Strings from Jim should be here early this week, might have him send me a limb driver string also, but have some FloGreen d-loop as a back up. Got arrows and new vanes coming this week also, should be ready to really start shooting next weekend.

Got these done up last night. Gold Tip Xt Hunters with Accu-lite nocks and Predator Vanes (glued one insert in upside down )

Hope to get some shooting in tonight if the wind doesn't keep up and get to really shooting/tuning this weekend.

One of the last pieces of the puzzle for now came in yesterday. Last things I would plan to put on the bow are an Apache Stabilizer and the Bohning Chameleon Quiver. I can definitely start shooting/tuning this weekend though. Took a few shots last night and it is feeling really good with the XTs and bottomed down to about 70# (need a scale and chrono )

That is a sweet looking bow. Congrats.

I had a simular issue with pin spacing on both the Firecat and the Reezen I had. I just sighted in the top for 30 yards and used it for 20. The POI was only about an 1" higher so it was no big deal. I did ty to use the top at 40 yards but the difference was a little to much for me to be comfortable with while hunting. So, at the end of the day my pins where set at 30,40,50,55,60. I would only shoot out to the 55 and 60 on an elk, much more room for error than on a deer. Good luck.

I've found that is what I ended up doing. I still have a lot of tweaking and tuning to do yet, but I'm pretty sure my 20/30 are going to be the same. I'll have to see how under 20 works, I have heard of some guys use their next pin down because of a flatter trajectory, don't know if that is true or not.

Under 20 yds, I use 35 yds, under 10, 40 yds with my old rigs, but then I shoot a hha slider. But your fixed pin will be similar. I shoot a lot of field rounds, one of the targets is a "birdie' a 10 yd to 7 yd walk-up. Try shooting 21 feet from your target and you'll see what I mean.

Couple non-fancy videos. Found the wife's flip camera again, figure I'd use it to check a few things.

Things are starting to come along nicely. 30 yard shots here. There are 4 arrows in the photos.

60896090

I'll be able to get out this weekend and really test center shot from distance. 20 yard feels pretty close to spot on, 30 feels just a touch to the left, but that could be me. Noticing it is really easy to put a little torque on this bow. The vertical sight pins are a pretty good indicator to that.

Longer distance shot should be able to help me figure out what I want to do with arrow spine too I think.
