I have 2007 C4 Cougar Mag, nitrous B cam. I beleive i have 3L limbs. Was wondering if anyone had specs on a conversion to the new CAT system. Can it even be done? I would need string lengths. Thanks.

Might be a question for Joel or Jake at Martin. Or maybe LeEarl over on www.archerytalk.com.

I talked to Joel yesterday. It is not possible to put the new cams on the older bows with the conventional limb angle. He said it creates very long draw lengths. Thanks everybody.

How about the Slayer. Looks like the only thing different is the cams and the STS. Also, the Pantera has similar limb angles to the MOAB, and the Firecat.

What about the slayer? From what Joel told me, the pantera may be a likely candidate for the conversion, but i really dunno.

[QUOTE=cowboyarcher1;6030]What about the slayer? [/QOUTE]

I was wondering if the slayer was convertible. I forgot to put a ? after it.

My guess would be probably is convertible.

I would think it would be, since they offer that bow with the CAT cam.

I believe the new Slayers are using 13" Mag limbs as opposed to the old Slayers having 14" Mag limbs. At least it appears that way to me, in the '08 catalog only 13 inch mag limbs and 17" Elite limbs are mentioned.

I got an email from the tech department regaurding this, that stated that one must use reinforced limbs with the CAT cam. I think this means that the old limbs will come apart if they are used with the CAT cam. It should have to do with the different forces in play when no yoke is used.

I thought it was a good idea, glad i didn't try it before getting this info though.

Sounds like the riser would be the only part from the old bow.

Glad to see you guys doing your homework. Saves me a lot of searching to find out for myself. Now I can pass it on to others.

I'm kinda bummed thanks to doing my homework. . . Now i don't get to build a bow. . . Guess I'll just have to order a firecat. . . Shucks!!

Yep, just order a new Firecat. I did :D Today was the first time I have heard about the new reinforced limbs. Until now I thought the old 13" limbs would work. I need to talk to Jake and Joel about this to make sure. Lots of guys are wanting to make the swap on the BulletX, SlayerX and Pantera......

Everything I've heard is that the new cam requires the reinforced limbs. . .
