I have a question concerning the specs of the 2011 Onza 3 and the effect they they may have if "out' of spec. From what Ive read the ATA is supposed to be 33.25 with a brace height of 7.25. Mine is at 33.75 ATA and 7.125..............the cams appear to be in time, actually they are perfect. I know how to fix this and this weekend Im going to take care of it Im just curious what effect this woud have on the performance of the bow? Im pretty sure I know Im just looking for confirmation..........?

Idk, do you have a chrono? You could take some readings now, then correct the specs and see if it makes a difference. I don't think an 1/8" brace is gonna get you much, maybe 3-4 fps at most because of the longer powerstroke... assuming you have 70# now and that you set it at 70# after.

Yea I have a chrono.........Im at 29.5 DL , 72#s shooting a 364 grn GT XT at 309 FPS. I have a string loop and peep sight. This is only a prelimanary settup , Im just wanting to get eveything right. This is slow............I know speed isnt everything but with this bow I want to get all the speed out of it that I can.

I don't think you're too far off;

-6fps for 29.5 draw
+4fps for 72#
-5fps for dloop/peep
-12fps for 364 gr arrow

-19 from 335 average IBO = 316 fps....

Maybe you'll get a little gain by increasing the pre-load on the limbs to where they're supposed to be?

Pretty much what I was thinking..........I figured it should be close to 318 if all was in spec.........thanks man, gonna get everything up to par and she what Ive got!

Ok loosened the limb bolts and put 7 twists in the cables, tightened everything up and adjusted to draw length. It took it from a 33.75 ATA to 33.50............put the chrono on it and put 3 arrows through it, 314, 314, 315. Before I shortened it it was shooting 309. So it had a very positve effect. Im still .250 long but Im good with it.
