2011 or 2012 models

Why did Martin change their cable guard between the years? Was there a problem with the 2011 style cable guard? Also can anyone recommend the Onza or the silencer? which one is better? Whats the benefit of the bridged riser?

Yes they had some problems with the trg/sos last year and they sell a convert kit i think that switches to a cable slide. Sorry i dont have either of those bows cant recommend!
