Nice buck!. I made a DIY system above my trail camera. Once a deer comes into range and hits the sensors...a Salt and Pepper canister flips upside down and lightly marinates the deer while they are still alive. I think it will help with the flavor profile later in the season. ;)

It takes about a week before they get over the sneezing and get accustomed to the peppery scent in the air. But all is back to normal now. You can get salt and pepper in Bulk. :D
It's great too because the coons hate pepper and stay away from the mineral lick.

Yup thats the plan! Im pretty sure this is a buck that I passed on last year late in October. As he came in to my left he looked very impressive then as he turned he had broken off most of his left side.........bummer. Im just hoping that this year he stays in the woods behind the house and not crossing the highway in front! Every other year it seems I loose a good buck due to being killed on the highway.

for some reason my wild game innovation 6mpg keeps taking a lot of whiteout pictures, it seems like all the night or early morning pictures are white out, what would cause this. the camera is not even a year old but i started noticing this at the end of last season and now its like that all the time

Sounds like you should get a call in to wildgame innovations cs. Shouldn't be doing that having it less then a year. Ours works well and seems to be a very good cam. Its worth the call or email to them.

Rode in to the old beaver dam to put up a trail cam last week, about a 2 mile bike ride, only to find out that the winter had blown out the dam, but on the way in, found 40+ elk! While we were talking about how many elk there actullay was, heard one down in the creek, we had split the herd. Found a spot to hang another cam. Went back to see if they'd come back, and found that this guy is still hanging around, waiting for the herd to make it's weekly loop and pick him up. Saw several branch bulls in the herd, and lots of these boys.

All joking aside, I think you would agree that this buck is using this trail often! What you can't see in the pictures is the pond at the end of the trail plus the alfalfa field !

Are you going to have your stand in the same tree that the camera is on? If he keeps using this trail, it will give you a nice quartering shot. If you move the camera over to one of the trees he is looking toward, and time it just right, maybe you could get a trail cam pic of your shot! :D

Just on the oposite side of him about 15yds in the woods I have a lock on stand in a hickory , it over looks this old clear cut. Ive hunted this trail for many years now and have taken some nice bucks. Last year on Oct. 9th I took a real nice 8pt here, I was in my stand well before daylight and my trail camera started going off. This is a huge oak grove and they were eating acorns. Long story short when it got light enough there he was standing just off the trail eating acorns.

This is a pic from last year of the buck Ive been posting pictures of.....he was a 9pt. last year.............

Its actually whats left from an old powerline that went to a small farm years ago. The poles havent been there now for many years but I keep it mowed low and I have small food plots in various parts of it.
