Sorry guy's it not a martin, last year my son was buying a new house need some extra money so he sold his bow and he just had his first kid, I was looking to get him a new martin but when my buddy call me and asked if I knew any one that wanted to buy his bow that used to be my bow I asked how much he said $150 with hha sight, fall away, rest arrow, arrows & stabilizer I said yes. If he would have stayed with it more when he was a teenager He would be a world champ but girls & pizza got in the way he was that good He could almost beat me

I (and most on here) don't care if it's a Martin or not. It's about having fun launching arrows at the target. What bow did you get him though?

That will work. I'm sure he'll be happy.

He has room to shoot in his yard so it not like he has to come to my house and shoot

Those are good bows. Darton still makes some nice stuff.

Is it one of the recurved limb models?

It doesn't necessarily have to be a Martin. Propagation of the sport of archery is what it's all about. Who knows. Maybe he'll gravitate toward the Martin line one of these days.
