View Full Version : nitro cam mod problem

got a new silencer and only been able to shoot it twice. both time i have my top cam mod has come loose! the first time it took a good full turn to each bolt to tighten them up! last night wasnt as bad but still took a good quater/half a turn. is anyone else experiencing this problem with the nitro cams? am i ok to put in blue loc-tite?

I coat mine with bow string wax but you can use blue loc tite

Yes, if you're having problems you can use #242 Loctite. Still, keep an eye on them after that for a short time. If you have further problems you're best to return the bow to your dealer for a look-see and possible replacement of the cams.

I do not recommend any thread lock. My silencer had an issue with the prev. owner putting loc tite on every screw on the bow thanks to Joel in customer service I was able to replace all of the screws that got stripped. If you feel you must use something I would suggest a dab of clear silicone.

Good possibility the previous owner used a High strength loctite. Using 242 loctite should do the trick with out any issues. But on the note of using clear silicone that will work just as well.
