New Alien

I received a phone call today from a buddy of mine, looking to buy my 02 Cougar. We agreed on a price, but I now need to get a new bow. I call my shop, and he tells me he can set me up in an Alien X. I don't know much about the Rytera line, except I looked at the website and do not see the X in the 2012 line, only the XT and the Ultralight. The specs and price of the XT seem to reflect what he was talking about, but I am not 100%. I am going to check it out next week. What are the differences between the X (possible left over 2011), and the XT and Ultralight?

x2 That's right. The XT is a new Rytera for 2012, and I believe some say it's similiar to the Onza III. The XT has a bridged riser, and has a longer ATA than the Ultralight.

Well, I couldn't wait. Sold the old bow today, and went to the bow shop this evening and came home with the new X. I only shot a few times at the shop, but this thing is amazing. I will get some pictures up tomorrow, since my wife bought a new camera and I can't figure out how to work it. I really like the vista camo. I put my QAD LD rest on it, got a tru glo 4 pin sight, and x-coil stab.

Very nice sir. Liked mine when I had it, plan to pick up another Rytera some time in the future I think. Once the Bengal came the X sat dormant for too long for me to justify hanging onto it.

What a difference 10 years of technology can do to a bow. Not that I have shot that many, but I just got done shooting to get my sight set. Aside from having such little gaps between the pins, I managed to do some damage to my arrows. I know Barry says it is not the bow, but the indian, and I agree to a point on that, but this bow certainly helps this indian make a better shot. I was shooting groups of three as I always do to get my pins set. Once they are set, I take one field point off and put a broad head on 1 of the 3. I lost 1 nock to a field point at 20 yards, and I cut a nock in half and cut the arrow with a broad head at 40 yards. The nocks are pretty cheap, but that arrow wasn't fun to ruin. Very happy with this bow.

Sounds yo me like you're going to have to start shooting groups of one. Glad you're having success.
