Elkslayer there is somewhat of a story under my Swhacker Sucks post. I was hunting using Swhacker 100 grain broadheads, as it turned out they weren't sharp. I hit the buck a little back. He took a step as I shot, it hit him in the Liver. The arrow never went all of the way through.
It was just before dark. the buck had come out into a clover field and slowly worked his way in front of me...about 25yds. When I hit him he took off, I saw the arrow still sticking in him. He went the entire length of the field, about 250-275 yds. Never slowed down. Then he went into the woods were he came out.
I Walked the whole field, never saw any blood. He ended up about 45 yds into the woods, on the runway he had come out on.
The broadheads were brand new, right out of the box....and were dull as hell. I consider my self lucky that I got the deer. Looking back I should have inspected and checked every broadhead in the pack. One was sharp, so I thought they all would be....WRONG!!!!
I am not very happy about the broadheads!! they were dull, and considering the fact that the arrow didn't even go all of the way through, you would think that the broadhead would be in pristine shape.....it wasn't, the tip broke off.

Ah ha, so this the swacker shot buck that almost got away, Thankfully you found him, and also learned to never assume ( remember what Felix told Oscar about *** u me ?) that just because they should be sharp, every factory has a Friday afternoon, when line workers are not at their best. Glad it all work out for the best. :)

Congrats on the buck. It's great that you recovered him. Nothing in life is 100 percent except life and death.... Everything else is up for grabs. Stuff happens in hunting too. I had to shoot a buck twice...Double lung Pass through before he finally expired. I returned all the unused BH's right after that hunt.
