We've only had about 12" total of snow this winter so far, and on the ground right now is no more than 5". That works for me.

Its just getting to the part of winter I like up here in the NW; the snow on the west side doesn't really start to fly until about now and the cold sets in. Otherwise winter here is just wet :(.

Sometimes I wonder why I moved to the west side of the Cascade range....

Because you don't have to shovel rain off the driveway? :)

Where's winter for us, just cold, no snow, no rain, I guess that's why they call it a desert. Oh and wind, lots and lots of wind, 60mph and under 30 degrees make it bite my old bones. Like I tell my church friends from the land of the frozen chosen, there's two months out of the year there, Jan-Feb when you don't want to go outside and there's July-August here. My wife thinks we own the gas company the way she runs the furnace, no, we just paid for it last month.

Are you kidding me? I just ended a week of playing with the fishes in 83 degree water. Not a snow flake in sight. Sadly I have to do it again in another two weeks half way around the world.

Sorry guys but I need to tell you I just yanked my tree stands wearing shorts as it was a pleasant 72 degrees down here. Also, where is Barry's "proof"?

What do you mean, "where's my proof"? Check the weather on the internet. I would love to be able to show some underwater pics, but I was so busy babysitting my dive buddy (new guy) that I felt it more prudent to bring him back alive rather than break out my camera. I'm planning on doing video in Fiji in two weeks so maybe I can come up with something from there. Water tmps usually hang in the mid 80's this time of year and I've seen as high as 87 degree water. Sure beats cutting holes in the ice here.

@ Mr. Pinky

After that work yanking down your stands, you must want to cool off, so come visit us here in NH. It's a nice warm 2 degrees below zero right now.:p:cool:

Speaking of weather....what's considered bad weather for a bow, strings, arrows etc? Too cold, rain...
Weather up here in Ontario has been really cold, too cold to even go out, but its starting to warm up a little, -8C today. Be nice to get out and shoot in the fresh air.

Bad weather would be excessive heat. Cold isn't going bother a bow much nor is rain. All the parts are manmade and almost impervious to cold. Figure it this way. People hnt in the arctic with them at temps exceeding -20F. If it gets wet just dry it off with a towel. Keep yur strings waxed, but not too much.

Really hot weather would be the only concern on the strings. Other then that Bfisher said it all.

I've bow hunted and shot in -20F weather here in Wisconsin. When the temps are that cold, a silence extends that is somewhat erie. When I shot my bow the noise seemed amplified.
