Wondering if anyone here uses a magnification lens for hunting and if so what power you use?

2 and 3X are just about all that is needed. 3X is just about a equalizer for binoculars of 8X, so I'm told.
I've used my target rig with 4X and didn't have any issues.

And with a lens issues can come up. Mist or rain for one. Lord! Them rain drops on a lens sure are distracting. And if
of the rare that need a clarifier (say tiny lens), mist and rain issues are doubled.

I've also tried using a lens on my HHA OL 5519, and here in the Pacific Northwest, we get a lot of rain. Made a small rubber hood extention, and tried the hooded SuperBall, but they still mist up, was'nt worth the effort. Just sayin.

That's a good point. I had'nt thought about the rain.
Easy enough to just take the lens out if it gets foggy but may just hold off till after this season to try it.
Especially with the cost of a good lens.
Thanks for the replys.
