Just wondering what peoples thoughts were about 500D Cordura as a jacket shell material? Would it be too stiff, noisy, etc. Been thinking about making a jacket, and trying to find something that'll be durable, and good for bow hunting. Thanks for your thoughts!

I think that you'll be fine. 500 denier is'nt too stiff, thats what I used to make my bike pack, and it is'nt noisy. Very durable, a really tough weave.

Thanks for the reply es4X5. I figured you had probably used it before making packs, etc. I just wanted to be sure that it wasn't going to be like trying to wear plywood or something. lol Found some at a fairly reasonable cost, so that was the news I was hoping for.

It would be like trying to wear plywood if you used the higher thread count Corduras, 600D to 1000D, some of that material, depending how its been waterprofed is very stiff, part of the reason its referred to as "Bulletproof". :D
