View Full Version : Kisser button

Anyone ever have a kisser button make a bow noisy? Installed one on a bow of mine, and now the bow sounds twice as loud. It's a Pine Ridge button. Soft plastic, clamp on style. Always used the tip of my nose as a reference point before, but neck troubles are making that less of an option, so I decided to try the button. Also keeps my head more upright without touching the nose to string. Don't see how I could have installed something so simple wrong, but can't see why it would make the bow noisier either. Thanks for any and all input!

Is it a clamp on unit? I have always tied mine in place.

Is the Kisser on the string strands or serving? If on the string strands check for being loose. Clamped or serving properly you shouldn't be able to move it.....

I have the exact same one and I have no noise. Mine is clamped on the serving.

Mine's on the strands. I took everyone's advise and recrimped the clamps. Seems to have solved the problem. Thanks all!

Gee, thanks Barry. lol

I know. My post was absolutely worthless, but I just had to......but to add something of use I would measure the position of the kisser then remove it and serve that area (about 1") and reinstall it.
