Dear Martin Friends, After much consideration, and remorse, and reaching out to you, my Martin friends, and after the "You have over 10 bows!" statement from my wife, I realize I have too many bows. I have numerous Slayer's and Slayr's I should probably let go for some others to enjoy. Here is a list of ones for sale..2004 Cranberry Red 55lbs max w/nitrous "B" and Trophy Taker drop away rest 23-28" draw capable" new shooting string , 2004 Beautiful Blue 60 lb shoot through nitrous "B", 2005 Chrome riser about 90%...still really cool for its age, 2007 Slayer raw aluminum (might be aluminum anodized). Can swap some parts around and have lots of limbs. I can also set them up perfectly straight for you if you send rest and couple of arrows, Slayer's and Slayer's are my speciality. I have more besides these...please make fair offer and tell me how you want them setup. Don't have any more "C" cams available so hopefully your draw is less than 28" (except for one Brand new original box Blue "C" cam with all the factory manuals etc, that is a part of history but might sell too.) I've always got plenty of money when temptation rears it's ugly head. Just for now I'm a bit short on funds. Have to plop down $125 grand to buy my daughter as house. This ain't fair.

You're a good man for doing it!

I'm just glad your funds are tied up so I can slip in the mix!! ;-) gives us young bucks a chance to appreciate the finer things of Martins past!

I hope all your funds are tied up! LOL! But realistically, I have to come to a place in my life that others need these bows to enjoy them too. Right now they are just sitting there acting pretty. Someone should be able to enjoy them.

Thank you for offering these to our community. I am sure it is very difficult for you to part with them. They all sound so pretty. I would hate to paint one up for hunting.

Love hunting with my 06 Slayer. although on long hikes, she sure gets heavy, but I made a very conveniant carry sling for that purpose, which solved the problem nicely. When I made the sling, there was nothing even similar and now I see several quite like it, although none are made with the same non-slip two piece closed cell foam that I used. I know, a shameless self plug, but if I don't do it, who will? :D

Kinda of like getting a cat from the local cat savior people. Have to go through an interview. Are you going to have it declawed? Rejected. Do you have dogs in the house? Kids? You need to set up an interview form. Let's see, How many other bows do you own? I have 8. Oops too many, your rejected. My Slayer's don't like to many other bows around. Do you plan on using the bow for hunting? Yes. Rejected, your not going to paint up my pretty bows. Where do you plan on storing the bow when not in use? On my wall in the living room, right next to the tv. Your accepted, you display the right amount of love. How about you slayer wanna-be, where are you going to stow the bow? In the closet. Rejected.

Ok, I am going crazy now. This is ridiculous. I am glad I stopped smoking pot 30 years ago.

My Slayers love having other bows around, knowing that those other bows really wanted to be Slayers. :D My Cougar III Elite is close, but close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and nuclear devises.

As much as my Slayr's have overtaken my life, they are probably smoking pot in the archery room right now. I will always love them and can't cheat on them.

Ok sold the black chrome one with "B" cams for sure. Thanks, Amber. Have Shiny Black, Cranberry Red, Blue, And Flat Black still available. Even have a brand new unused Blue available. Glad the Black Chrome is going to a great home, my beautiful oldest daughter wants to shoot again. Wonder if it is because her daughter was shooter of the year last year for our local club? And that her husband is top 5 all the time in 3d in our local matches?

LOL I like Clt Bluesman's post about THE interview....since I have so many options, people are wanting this riser with this cams and these mods and etc...that is one of the things that attracted me to Martin in the first place was the customizability of their products. You really can make them fit you. They would be easier for me to sell if I just sold them as they are rigged now, but since I have the ability to Burger King them..."make it your way"...which I enjoy, I want everyone to enjoy this style of bow as much as me. Sometimes at work when I have a lull in the action, I am dreaming (scheming) about how I want the next one. Crazily, most of these bows I am selling I have never released an arrow with. Just acquired them because I knew what they were. I have never made a dime profit on any of them, and usually do put time into them that you could not get most archery shops to do for free. I do like to hear people as they tell me what they want, the fire in their core that is ignited by passion for the same bows I love. BTW sold the flat black one...to a great gent.

CLT Bluesman
03-23-2014, 11:11 PM
Wow, that target Rytera would be a perfect starter bow for a kid, and expand with him as he gets older.

Also have a Scepter II (Camo of all things) with fury-x cams 29" draw shoot through. X hammering older bow with one of Martin's finest grip angles. My favorite year of Scepter. (LOL when I first typed this was trying to type fast, probably 10 words per minute, and typed fur cams not fury. Believe you me, it is old and interesting but not old enough to have fur cams!)

Jim, I wish I had more money, I would buy a couple more of your bows. I wanted the Bullet X, now I want the Scepter, also the sunset to gold. I want them all!!! But I feel very fortunate to get just one.

elkslayer4x5

That Sunset to Gold fade is probably one of the best looking target colors avaible back in that era. Really feels strange saying 'back in that era' when it wasn't all that long ago, but I'm sure that the rising cost of the anodising has made those kind of colors a thing of the past, Sure glad I've got my Blue ghost flame Cougar III Elite, even though I've now got to get new arrows, thanks to my new Nitrous Cs. Thanks Jim, We will be doing a group photo shoot of the Elkslayer family's C Nitrous club soon, all 5 of 'em! :D

Martin did well mid 2000 because they put nitrous cams on beautiful anodised risers, bring both back and see how well they'd do. It's been 10 years since the introduction of the Nitrous cam. When does the patent run out?
