I knew when I saw the title that it had to be a turkey. Good sized Tom. Nice shooting.

Yes!! That Tom met his maker and my dinner table!! Lol. I set up in an area that I have been catching them on my trail cam yesterday evening gave a couple yelps and five minutes later I had two nice Toms 20 yards looking for the hen. They eventually worked around to where I could shoot at 20 yards. I let her rip and down he went!! Last night was the last night I could hunt and the season goes out Friday so I was glad it finally worked out!! Talk about cutting it close!

Me too!! They are a huge help and allowed me to cover a lot of property this year and be successful. I was able to put 3 other people on birds this year so we had a lot of activity!!

Yep, they are a huge help. But they bring with them an inherant problem, people like to steal them!! But it is just another part of the trail cam learning curve, you also have to learn how to hide them and secure them! :(

Great job! I haven't hunted Thunder chickens with a bow yet. Thinking I may have to try it next year ;)
