Hey guys, i have something to think about for you.

I want to build me a new Martin with 31" of Drawlength. I have Maglimbs and Nitrous-Cams. Is there any riser in the actual lineup that will provide a drawlength of 31" with Magnum Limbs and Nitrous Cams?

I know that this is a bit tricky because the Nitrous Cam is not longer in the Charts to see what draw length would be provided so we have to guess.

You have 10 hours left to response.. :P

You would have to know that I would steer you toward LeEarl over on Archery Talk. If it's been done then he's done it with Martin bows.

Simon, do you shoot a string loop? If so almost any 30" bow would work. Just overclock the cams a bit and add the loop. Should come out real close to 31".

Simon,

Nitrous C cams, right?

Simon,

Right off the bow-cam charts:

2006-07 M-96/Slayer (up to 31")
2006 M67/ShadowCat (up to 32")
2006 P3/Phantam (up to 32")
2006-07 M-108/Cougar (up to 31")

How about the Razor X? YOu already have that don't you?

Barry

I made it within the 10 hr time limit, too.

Yepp, everything right. :P

I checked if the use of Nitrous-C Cams would add draw length when used instead of M-Pro. I believe a Bengal with Nitrous-C Cams would make a draw length of 31" or more possible...

Well, we will see. If not i can sell a new Bengal with a very custom design. :P

Come to think of it you may be right. I had a Pantera last year with C Nitrous and it's shortest setting was just at 27". One of several reasons I sold it. I like shooting bows as close to the top of the draw length cycle as I can.

My only thought would be that a Bengal at 31" would have a very steep string angle. One I wouldn't even like at my 27" draw.

What the hell am I talking about? I'm shooting a FireCat that's about the same length as the Bengal. I'm shooting it OK, but I still like something at least 36" long and better at 38-39". Just me.

I'm really having a brain fart tonite. Alec (Flytier17) is who bought my Pantera. It has C Nitrous X cam on it. Ask him what it's longest setting is. Maybe he'll be good enough to set it on the longest draw and measure it for you.

OK, will do...

30 1/4" with the cams a little overrotated. I expect you could get more by fiddling, but only 1/4"-1/2" I'm guessing.

Sorry it took 2 days to get back to you...

So essentially 30" when set to specs. 30 1/4" plus a loop and you're real close to 31".

Thanks, we will see what i get.

The angle with such a long draw length would be no problem for me.. Just a back-up and fun setup. =)

Simon, you have too much time on your hands.

I am not sure about that.

At the moment i have plenty of time that is right and it is why i spend so much of my time for archery and so on. Later this year i will start to study, not sure if i will have internet then or at least time to shoot. If i build a light backup bow with around 40lbs now i may be able to use it during the semester.
