I'm not manly enough for that; I think I'm going to shoot my Bear Whitetail using fingers and aluminum arrows at the club shoot next month - does that buy me anything?

As hunting is not allowed in germany, no hunting pics from me.

I do not own my own traditional bow but i can shoot some english longbows whenever i want. They are made from a club member who makes six different bows in different variations with different wood and so on. Maybe i can post a picture from his website.

I used to shoot traditional as a teenager, only bowfishing and small game. then I sold my bow when I went off to college. After graduation I decided I just had to have the latest-greatest-mostsuperfastest:D-compound bow set up.......I used that heavy setup for nearly two decades until my eyes started showing their age.....couldn't see the sights anymore. So I put up the compound and stopped bow hunting.

This past June my wife surprised me with a Martin Savannah 45#. I haven't had a chance to take it hunting yet but it sure shoots sweet. And I don't miss all the extra weight of the compound bow. The Savannah weighs barely over a pound. Instinctive shooting is soooo nice. I can nail a beer can at 20 yards and that's all I need.

I am going hog hunting this coming weekend and hopefully I will have some pix to post.

That's great goingtraditional!!!!!!!!!!! I used to shoot Hoyt, PSE, MARTIN and settled on the Mathews OUTBACH.....Great BOWS all of them but for me there wasn't any more challenge. If your bow "wheelie that is", is sighted in and you have the right arrow and broadhead you couldn't miss. I got bored shooting bulls eyes (the X RING ) all the time. If a person misses with a properly tuned compound I say shame on them. How could you miss? I started with a traditional bow some 15+ yrs ago and I'm back to shooting them again. ................IMHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This season can't get here fast enough!!!!!!!!

Used to be.* Gettin' back into "wheelie bows".* Still have a Bear Grizzly, PSE Talon TakeDown, Ben Pearson, Had (2) MHTD's (never had a chance to shoot either of my MHTD's).* Right now I'm addicted to the speeds of these newer "cam" bows!!!
