I had a string loop un- tie

I bought a brand new Orion in 06 and in early 07 one of the loops on one of the cables connecting at the cam completly untied while drawing the bow. Is this a common problem or just a freak accident and should I have notified martin of this? I've already replaced the strings with a custom set and everything is shooting fine... so far! lol

Something like that can happen, maybe you had a bad set of cables which were not made properly. As you are using the bow now without problems it should be an accident.

Now that you have a "unusable" string laying around - this is a great opportunity. Take that old string apart, all the servings and get a good understading about how it was made.
That's how I initially taught myself how to make a string :)
