I have an older bow that i brought new and didnt get a chance to used. I want to start back bow hunting. but dont wont to buy a new bow right now. is their anything to upgrade on the bow i had the draw weight scaled and could only get 50 pounds max. set-up is for a 65pound bow. what can i do short of buying a new bow right now.

I am not sure about the Lynx but if it uses steel cables i would recommend you to get a new bow. It is not worth the amount of time it will take to get a new set of cables and strings. :(

If your bow is 15# under rated weight there is a problem, certainly string could be part of it. I recommend you get it to a shop and have it looked over closely. Actually if I were in your position I would be in the market for a bow; I would not invest any money in a bow that old.
