I bought a brand new 2008 Moab about a month ago. Now I need to put on the accessories. I want to put on a drop away rest, my question is are there any rests out there that won't bolt on to my riser? Also my local shop has a Trophy Taker with the Martin Mount for $55 is that an ok deal? This shop is usually priced high on their items.

Bolt holes are std. like anyone else's - no problem. They do have a filler plate if you don't use a Martin mount. $55 is OK.

The TT rest is OK, and thats a good price. I prefer the Spot-Hogg Whammy myself for a dropaway rest though.

OK -- I want to put the TT Shakey Hunter on the 2008 Moab that I just purchased myself. So to be clear; if I buy one from say Sportsmans Warehouse or wherever, in order for it to mount on the Moab, it will additionally need some sort of special Martin Mount bracket? Please let me know before I purchase this. Thanks a lot.

NO, you do not need rests with a Martin mount. This is just a way to get a more solid mount so that a rest can't move round. It's no big deal.

You can mount any rest you like on any Martin bow. Period.

If you put a TT on without the Martin mount would you need the long one or short one? Or does it matter?

I can't say about the drop aways. I have used a TT Spring Steel with the short mount and it worked out fine.
