View Full Version : How old are you

I recently bought a used Martin bow online just to see if I could get into bow shooting and possibly bow hunting. I'm hooked. However, it is an older bow and I am curious as to its age. I can't find a model number. On one of the limbs it says Pantera. How can I tell its age?

I believe that the only year the Pantera was made was 07. I have a 07 Pantera and it is a shooter. If I am wrong someone will chime in and correct me.

The '07 model is the most recent one. The Pantera, along with other Martin models, such as the Cougar, comes and goes once in a while. Unfortunately I don't have information about the older bows other than what is on Martin's website and that only goes back to 2001. My guess on yours would be something from the mid 90's.

For some reason I'm thinking that run with the Pantera name stopped about 97or 98.

I had a pantera several years ago and I believe it was a 98 model and had ultra sonic cams If I remember correctly, nice shooting bow!

I found out that the Pantera was produced already around 98. Or until 98 but with the Tracer Cams (or somthing like that. I am not sure as i have no quite good information about that).

A good friend of mine has one. It'll have a wooden insert in the riser, and steel cables with a teardrop system (probably, unless you have a custom cam system)
An easier way to tell? If its parallell limbed, its an 07. Vertical limbs? Older.
