our bow scale was stolen, and we need to lower the draw weight for upcoming shoot. i have been told that on "marten bows" you can actually back the limb bolt out till one thread before you see daylight to find the minimum draw weight for the bow. Is this correct for marten bows and if so, does it apply to the alien aswell?
thanks

YES - you can back out the limb bolt until you see some daylight through the nut but only to remove the tension from the strings and cables to be able to do some work on it.

NO - You cannot find the minimum draw weight with this procedure. You may be able to shoot the bow in this stadium maybe you will not be able to do so. The limb bolts can be backed off by five (5) turns to finde the minimum draw weight that is printed on the sticker you will find on the lower limb. every turn equals 3 lbs.

IF - If you back out the bolt for more than five (5) turns you will lose your warranty.
