View Full Version : Cheetah MPro adjustment?

I have an 09 Cheetah. I was looking through the forums about the MPro cam adjustment. I found that the string should come off the cam about 3/8" before the end of the groove. Is that correct? The measurement on mine is 2 inches! My A2A is 29 1/2", BH is 7 1/4". DL is 29" with the F6 mod. DW about 65 lbs. From what I've read on the other forums something doesn't add up. It feels and shoots well but is a bit noisy. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Randy

do you have the regular mpro, or the new M2Pro cam?, some pictures of your problem would help us identify how to solve it:)

Sorry, it is the M2 Pro. I will try to get some pix up soon. I'm not the sharpest tack in the box. By the way the DL on the bow is 29" w/F7 not the F6.

I had not realized that there was an MPro and an M2Pro. Probably just asked a really dumb question! I was looking though the forum to find out how others have got their bows to quiet down more. Not that mine is that loud. I came across a thread talking about cam rotation and adjustment and misunderstood. Would like to know if those measurements sound correct though. Thanks for your help, Rand

Not a dumb question at all. You're not all wet on this. The M2Pro is a 2009 version of the MPro. Picture would still be preferrable to see just what you are talking about.

Elk4Me, for some reason I can't open your website. I think my computer may be more brain dead than I am! I'm trying to upload one through Photobucket.

The measurement that I'm talking about is between the black arrows. I know I will have to twist or untwist my string and or cable I just don't know what the measurement should be. I think something must be off because with the F7 mod I get 29" of draw and with the F6 I get 28 1/2" which is what I want.

String should come off the cam closer to where the red arrow is. Just twist the cam end of the cable up. That will advance the cam. That will fix you up plus it will make the bow much quieter and it will have less vibration at the shot. :)

Davydtune, Thanks! Finally, something I can fix!
Shad0, I'd be glad to help but I better let one of these more knowledgeable fellers help ya. I'd probably just confuse.
Thank you to all of you for your help, Rand

I would add some twists to the buss cable to get the cam back into specs, you can also use the draw stop to fine tune the let off. I have mine set forward about an 1/8 inch past my normal draw stop position and it feels very solid and picked up some speed.

I ended up putting 27 turns in the cable to get the cam turned, It looks twisted really tight. Is that OK?
