View Full Version : Arrow Rest Issues on a Cheetah

Hi I am having issues with my arrow rest on my bow, I an 09 Cheetah with a Octane Hostage Pro rest... The issue I am have as shown in pics below is the where the left brush is mounted. After shooting today I noticed that there was bare metal showing through and that it has bent forward a little bit... this is only that spot... I do not know if the rest needs to be moved left or right or if it is a fletching clearance issue, I have two inch vanes on vapor carbon arrows if that helps... Thanks for the help in advance!

I imagine that it is a fletching clearance issue though what I do not understand is why it just affects the left side and not the right side... maybe I would be better off with a drop away rest... any recommendations for a drop away rest that is easy to set up and priced $75 or below?

I think the rest isn't tuned fine and also a vane can not cause such damage.May be your arrows are underspined and the shaft hits the rest? Don't hurry to give another 75$ - first try to fix this one.
