Damon Howatt Cavalier

Hi,

I recently found ( at a flea market) a really nice Damon Howatt Cavalier. I only paid $80 CAD for the piece.

The markings on the stave are as follows:

28# @ 28"
HC 41450
AMO 62"

Can anyone here tell me a bit about the bow, and tell me the actual value of the piece? Its in EXCELLENT condition.
I'm NOT looking to sell the weapon, just get a better idea of what I have.
Wondering also what length of arrows I should purchase.......

I don't know about the Cavalier, but to answer your question about arrow length - first you need to determine your draw length. Once you have determined your draw length, arrow shaft length will be ¾" to 1" over your draw length. For example, my draw length is 30" and my arrow shafts are 31" in length. For arrow weight, I try to keep my arrows at 9 grains per pound of bow weight. My bow is 55# at my draw length, so my complete arrow (shaft, fletching, nock, insert, broadhead) is 495 grains.
