View Full Version : cheetah string suppressor/string wear

i have the cheetah and after shootin some arrows i notice that my string suppressor (sts) keeps comin loose.....got a couple ideas for it, thread lock (loctite) or putting another smaller spacer behind it with thread lock....any other ideas would be helpful....the last post i put up i had string wear on idler wheel so i served it and seems to be workin pretty good if anyone else is havin that problem

Isn't there a set screw on the side of the riser? From what I've been reading some do and some don't. Which is yours? If yours doesn't have one I would highly recommend that you drill and tap it for one. I would say just glue it, but then you'd have no adjustability.

yeah it has a set screw that doesnt stay tight....i can tell when it gets loose cause my arrows dont fly straight, i can see them wobble in flight

So use some #242 Loctite on the set screw. This usually comes in a little red tube and it's color is actually blue.
