I purchased an 08 Mystic.

I have several severe physical handicaps. One of the important specifications for me was the advertised 80% letoff. This specification is printed on the bow itself, as "80% Letoff" yet looking at the chart I generated from the draw board I built it seems that I have a 65% letoff (if I am reading this correctly) Any ideas as to why this would be?

I have the furious cams.

Are you aware that their are two diffrent Modules? a 65% that is the standard, and a H/L that is 80%, you have the standard, you need the hi let off, 80%

I was nOT aware. Thank you. Why would the bow label say 80% when a 65% was delivered? The bow is new? You think Martin would help?

They always say that on the sticker, but the standard mod is 65% you have to order a hi let off mod to get 80%, I've been dealing with Martin for better then 40 years, and they always come with standard mods from the factory, unless you spacial order.

Understand, Thank you. Seems to me as a retired Engineer that if the standard is 65% then the bow spec sheet and label they stick on the bow should say 65%.

Kinda like buying a big screen TV that is advertised at 50" but when you get it home you measure and it is 19"...the label says 50" but sure enough 19" ....the manufacture says...yep we put 50" on all our models (you should see the people we sucker in)

That is kind of sketchy that they advertise as 80% when it is actually 65%. I don't think I would have bought my bow if I'd known then that the let-off was not as advertised, I think I remember it saying in the catalog "letoff 80%, optional 65%," they should reverse that so people know what they are getting.

How much does one of these mods costs? I'm new to archery, and the first time I shot some friends #70 bows I remember thinking how I felt like I could hold it at full draw all day, my Martin's letoff was no where close.

Feel like Martin kind of took advantage of me

If it says 80% on the bow...should be 80% ! Seems simple enough, but i too am very new at this sport...maybe some kind of indoctranation wording?

For target archers it is always better to go with an 65% mod so maybe they just care about those ones that will not hunt with it. A lower Let-off will give you alot advantages.

A module does not cost that much but you can go to your shop and ask them to exchange the mods as you have ordered a different bow.

I guess the issue with me is that because of handicap I am not even sure 80% will work, but I would like to at least ry what it is I thought i payed for.

Martin materially misrepresented their product, if 80% let off was one of your main reasons for buying the bow, I'd hope they'd correct that and install the mod for free

They will do so if he can contact them.

I am told this morning by martin Tech department that the only possible letoff with furious cams is 65% ....No module is available. I was told that the computer that prints the bow labels has a glitch that only puts out labels with 80%...what do you think?

I have answered your pm.

The catalog says 65% only so that might be right.
