Ok so i have been wanting to get new arrows. I am shooting a 2009 cheetah at 30in and 60#. I am shooting cabelas 400s right now. I was wondering if i got 350s or 340s is they would be spined right and would they shoot faster than my 400s? I have been doing research but have been getting confused on how spine and all this works. I hear that 400s are lighter than 350s? but i hear 350s shoot faster? I just need some help lol. Thanks

The higher the spine-number the lighter the arrow will be. A .400spine will be faster than a .340 as it has less weight.
A arrow that has the right spine may fly better and so it may fly faster because it fits to your bow. I shoot my bow at 60lbs with 31.5" draw and .400 arrows and 125gr tips. I cannot recommend you .340 or even stiffer arrows as that may cause poor arrow flight. Also those .400 are lighter and so: faster.

Just to touch on something. I don't know who makes Cabela's arrow for them, but it's possible you could gain speed with a stiffer arrow depending on the mass weight of the arrow. You do some looking and you can find stiffer arrows that are lighter than the Cabela 400. There's more to it than just the spine, but proper spine is first and foremost.
