View Full Version : Got a new Martin Today...Need some opinions

Hey guys,
Im new here. Name is Matt. Ive been bowhunting for about 8 years now. My past bows were a High Country, and a Storm F26. Last year someone broke into my home and stole my 2 bows, and misc other stuff. Today, a buddy of mine offered me up his bow. He said with his shoulder, he cant use the compound anymore so He wanted a little money to put toward a Crossbow. So, he sold me his Martin Cougar 2000, with Fuzion Cam system in Camo. Has real nice viper sights, and API Arrow rest. HE bought it new in 2003. Ive been trying to find info on the bow, but cant anywhere. Just wondering if anyone knows about these bows.. Are they good? How much did they cost new? Was 100$ A good deal? Bow is in perfect shape.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks alot.

If the bow is in good condition 100$ looks OK to me, but i must say that here the bows are more expensive then in the USA.

If the bow is OK, you have a great deal. Thats a steal for what you are getting! Great bow; one of the best as many will attest to.

Do you have a picture of the bow? Maybe we can help confirm it is the came one...

Even so, $100 is still a great deal. the Cougar 2000 is a great bow, and many archers, from hunters to paper-punchers swear by it.

True...I spanked many a tail with it and still do. I set several state records with it. Actually in my opinion its hard to improve on this bows geometrics...they were way ahead of its time and still is. I have two set up just alike with Elite limbs and NOS A cams...it has an A/A of 42 3/8" and a BH of 7.25". Perfect for a blend of speed and forgiveness.
