my firecat is shooting 291fps and at 10 yards im dead on, at 25 yards im hitting about 6" higher using the same pin. does anyone have any ideas whats going on here? thanks.

rest isnt centered, or your nocking point is too low

At ten yards, the arrow does not have a chance to climb, so when you go back to 25 yards the arrow will climb if the pin is too low. So check your nocking point first to see if your arrow is level. If it is, then raise your pin. This will lower your point of impact. Keep ajusting until it hits correctly. :D

just got back from the range and the pro asked me why i even have a 10 yard pin on a firecat. i told him "because you had me shooting there the day we set it up". he just shook his head and said 20 should be my top pin, not 10. looks like im resighting tomorrow at 20 yards. then we'll see whats up:eek:

I thought I told you that a long time ago. Dumcough!!!!!!

It won't be much difference. A pin sighted in for 20 yards only shoots about 1-1 1/2" high at 10 yards so you won't have to move it very far.
