View Full Version : MOAB String wear.

Just bought a new 09 Moab. Have not set it up to shoot yet. I have drawn the bow back a few time and noticed the serving is starting to wear. I also noticed the draw module is made of plastic. I thought the draw module was made of aluminum. Could the plastic draw module be causing the problem? I was also wondering if the draw stop has to be installed. When installed I am not getting the 80 percent letoff.

You can move the draw stop. Even with the F7 module there is enough space to move the module far away enough to have some room between it and the limb when the bow is fully drawn.
The plastic module will nto cause your problem. Where starts the serving to wear off? If you are concerned about the plastic module call your shop to send you the fitting aluminium-module. They are available for some few dollars.

The serving is wearing where it meets the plastic draw module.

Then check for a sharp edge at the position. Also have someone else look if the string sits right in the groove of the module or not.
You can always get an aluminium module if you wish to do so.
