View Full Version : Computer Programs for Arrow Selection

Does anybody here use OT2 or AA? If so can you run some numbers for me?
Details as follows:

Target/3D setup
Hard cam (FireCat/Cat2 cams)
50# draw weight (max)
26.5" draw

26" arrow length (or close)
80 grain Nibb
three 2" 3D duravanes or three 2" feathers
CB bushings and G-nocks

I need to know what spine I'm going shopping for. I'm thinking something between .600 and .700, but need confirmation. Don't need suggestions on particular arrows as I'm going to go super-light.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Pure and simple. I have quoted the specs I intend to shoot at and I need to know what the computer programs say would be the best arrow spine (stiffness)for me to shoot. I'm not interested in what brand of arrow. I can do that part.

With the specs you gave OT2 says the optimal spine is 0.5602!

Gee, I guess that means I have some work to do. I do have some .560 shafts. ACC 3-18 to be specific. Just for giggles I took a couple shots at 15 yards with two .500 spine shafts and the 3-18/560 and they all planed badly to the right. Shot through paper confirmed this with about a 1/2" left tear at 3'.
