I dont know if all bow stings have these but on my warthog out by the cams theirs 2 string nocks covered with heat shirnk. This is a new bow and came this way,was just wondering what their sepose to do ?:eek:

They are speed buttons and strategically located on the string they could give the bow as much as 7 or 8 fps more speed (more like 3 to 4 fps) and also help with string occilation (vibration).

Ok,,,But why is it when you add more weight to the rest of the string you loose FPS ?

as scepterman said, they are "strategically" placed...but what ive learned that they do is that when u shoot, they help "throw" your string forward, and you wont lose speed with them cuz they are near the cams, all the other crap (string leeches, peep, serving, and d loop or nock set) are towards the center of the string, which just slows the cams down

Ok that makes sence,,thanks for the info.
By the way when you put on a new string ,they dont come with the speed buttons do they ?

Can't say for sure about all the strings for different models, but I just put new Double Helix Elite strings on my FireCat four days ago and it came with the speed nocks installed.

Most string makers will install the speed nocs if you ask for them.
