I'm hoping someone can tell me what the proper cam position is on a 09 Moab with an M2 cam.
If you could tell me where the string leaves the cam on a properly tuned bow that would be great, better yet a picture. I 've read it should be 1/2 to 3/4 inch from the end of the groove. Is this correct?

I have a 08 MOAB with the M-pro cam which is almost the same, so yes- the 1/2 to 3/4 should be ok.

I think right at 3/8" gives about the best performance however just where you have it kind of depends on the 'feel' that works the best for you as long as it's not too far over or under rotated.

i don't think those measurments will work for the 09 moab because of the cam design i have both an 08 and an 09 . the 09 makes a sharp bend at the end of the string chanel on the cam. the distance is greater on the m2-pro than on the m-pro. on my 08 the groove is 1/2", on the 09 it is more like 1 1/8" from where the string touches the cam to the end of the groove , both my bows are tuned very well with these measurments, the ata, brace ht. ,and the peak draw wt. of 60#s is correct on both bows. hope this helps

Thanks guys but now I'm still not sure cause I do have an 09 with M2 cam so can someone confirm BOWGRAMPS measurement. This is closer to what I have on my bow, Im at about 1 1/4 inches. I may have been needlessly worried because I had seen the 08 M-PRO specs

That should be about right. The Mpro as stated earlier has 3/8-1/2" groove showing.

The Mpro2 that you have with the 09 should be about 1 1/8". The 2 cams are totaly differant. The 1 1/4" that you measured should work great.:)

Sorry - no pics but the Mpro has a BIG M on the cam (bottom)
the M2pro has M2 on the cam (bottom)

Yeah.... I'm looking for a properly tuned bow with a picture showing shooting string and M2-Pro cam at rest and full draw... ( may have to do the pic myself to ask)

Thanks Dave308. I just happen to have some strings coming from H&M. Thats why I started this thread, to make sure when I put them on I would have a good starting point for tuning

hello again! on the cam there is 4 holes around the rim of the cam. starting just under the letters M2 on the cam is the first hole then you have your draw stop then another hole go to the third hole. you should be able to see a complete hole with the edge of the hole being flush with bottom of the limb. in my opion this is timed correct ,along with the 1/1/8 measurment on the string groove. it doesn't have to be exactly to the tenth one way or the other, but this will get you well within tolerance.

Is there any speed increase between the MPRO and the M2PRO cam? Actually I have the vipro cam on my bulletx and curious if the M2 cam would speed it up any, thanks.
