Cheetah or Bone Hunter

I know they are the same bow except the Bone Hunter comes from Dick's and the Cheetah comes from a pro shop. The closest Dick's is about 45 minutes away and the closest Martin dealer I have is between 60-100 miles away. Also, I'm sure the resale value would be better with the Cheetah vs Bone Hunter I guess. If ya'll were thinking about a new Martin bow, which would you do/get?

What is your budget. perfered draw weight, draw length and intended purpose(hunting, 3d, indoor)

I'm going to be using it for hunting mostly. My budget is to stay under $500 with everything. This will be my first bow. I'm not sure what draw weight I will want and I think my draw length is 28". I haven't been measured, that's going by my 70" armspan and dividing by 2.5 and get 28".

The Cheetah was the bow I bought when I decided to get back into bowhunting after 20 yrs. i bought the complete package set up buy martin. It came with a hard case, arm guard, release, quiver, sight, stabilizer, 4 arrows, rest, sling, string silencers, peep, and nock set. It also came with a pack of targets a DVD and really nice martin hat. Cost was $616 back in August of last year. you can get it online

As you know they are the same bow with only a few differences. The cheetah has black cam/idler,limb pivots/bolt caps the bone hunter has a bronze anodized cam/idler,limb pivots/bolt caps. They should perform exactly alike. One suggestion I feel I need to make is "Get a Bare Bow" and buy the accessories you want, Don't buy a package you will not be happy with the accessories it comes with. You can pick up the 09 Cheetah online for $300 shipped to your door. This is the same guy I bought my bow from. Sweet little bow!!!

I bought the bone hunter from dicks and its a great bow quietest bow i've owned i got it in left hand. One thing i wish would be different is the draw weight went up to 70 because mines maxd out min out at the 60

i agree with getting it on line if an authorized dealer isnt in range of you. i got my brand new 2009 cheetah off ebay for less the 3 bills:)

i would def get the cheetah, and in my area, the bone collector actually cost more than the cheetah that i got...didnt really understand that one but ok

Try out AT. Search martin in the hunting bows classifieds. I picked up a N.I.B. Firehawk for 325tyd. I saw some Cheetas on there nut they were all around 300. I originally was going to get a cheetah but found this. Good Luck. Does the Dick's bow have the same warranty as the others? That would be something to consider also if it does not.
