Which bow would you buy if you were looking for a first bow? The only differences in specs are the 1/4"longer brace height of the Cheetah and the longer ATA of the Bengal. So would the forgiveness difference cancel out or which one would be more forgiving? I will mostly using it for hunting and target practicing in backyard. May venture out and join a league or 3d. Also does anybody know the prices of each for 2010?

Less module/cable wear issues with the Bengal. Less acute string angle at full draw with the Bengal. Slightly more stable shooting bow with the Bengal. My choice between them would be the Bengal, but frankly I find both of them too short.

I have shot both bows side by side. For me, the biggest difference in the two is that the Bengal felt significantly "deader" in my hand. No shock, no vibration, just "there". I could feel a bit of vibration from the Cheetah, and overall it just felt like a lesser bow. I now own a Bengal, and can't say a bad thing about it. The little bit of axle to axle difference makes the Bengal a little more forgiving bow as well. Hope this helps.

I shot both the Cheetah and Bengal together, before buying the Bengal. I did buy the 2009 Bengal and love it. I haven't had it long, and can only shoot in my basement for now, b/c I live in Minnesota and there is alot snow on the ground. I love the bow though and would suggest going w/ which ever bow feels better to you when you shoot it. The small difference in A2A won't make that much difference. Go shoot them both and I'll bet you end up w/ the Bengal. You might try shooting the 2009 model and the 2010 model. I can't imagine their is much difference between the two. Even though Martin bows are priced well to start, you should be able to find a great price on the 2009 model. Let us know how it goes and enjoy. Hope this helps!

I've got a 09 Bengal and it's my first bow in 20yrs. I can't compare it to the Cheetah because i've never shot one, but I can't see how it could be any better ???? It shoots and draws so smooth and quiet, the only way I could see any bow being better is if it shoots faster!!!! IMO !!!!!!!!!!

I paid $340.00 for it delivered to my door a year ago from bowhunters warehouse. I've seen it recently for $289.00 plus shipping you can probably find it for cheaper then that if you look.... GOOD LUCK!!! I'm sure you'll be very happy with it..

From Martin's online store. Bengal is $50.00 more. Look around 1st, you may find a better deal.

LOL! It wouldn't be a problem now, but up until about 1 1/2 weeks ago we had 2 - 2 1/2 feet of snow on the ground. Shootable, but lots of hassle
