View Full Version : Martin Born to Hunt 325
I'm new to the forum, actually this is my first post......I just purchased a Martin Born to Hunt 325 from Dick's Sporting goods....From my research I do believe that this bow is really a Martin Moab pro-hunter......Does anyone have one of those bows and what can you tell me about it.....Is it a decent bow or not.

From what I can tell, it looks like a Bengal. Both the Moab, and Bengal are very nice bows. I own one of each. What makes me think it's a Bengal is that the VEM on the top part of the riser doesn't have the cut out below it like the Moab's do. That matches the Bengals riser configuration, rather than the Moab's. Great bow either way! Congrats!

I agree. It's definitely got the same cutouts as the 2009 Bengal. I would almost assume that the specs will be the same and it's just a Bengal renamed for Dick's.
Thanks for the info guys....I appreciate it!

Sure looks like my 09 Moab. Great bow, shoots real nice! You won't be disappointed.

At least it has the CCS and the M-Pro2 Cam so it is a 2009 bow just renamed.

I looked at Martin's old websites, and they show the bows that were sold through Dick's sporting goods. They don't cross reference them to what the Martin name is though. It appears that the Dick's bows were all the Martin Gold series though.

It's real easy to cross reference. Check the 2009 catalog. Look at the shape of the machined cutouts near the rotocup. The second one is like "round" on the side that faces the limb. The other side is kind of flat; kind of like a circle cut in half. The Bengal is the only bow in the lineup with such a cutout.
Another way would be to measure the A2A and brace height to see how they compare. If all three of these things match up it should be self explanatory.
