View Full Version : are they same bows

I've heard that the Martin bows at Dicks's are a year or couple years old of a "real" Martin. Instead of it having the new cam. I've also heard they were rejects. I don't know this, so I'm trying verify.

The only difference in the bows are the names. Same warranty, cams, strings, limbs, risers and everything else. I don't see Martin putting their name on a "rejected" product.

are they up to date on cams? How can I tell what cam a Martin has on it?

It is imprinted on the Cam.
The 2009 Singlecam has a "M-Pro2" in it. The 2010 Singlecam has a "Acutrak" in it.
The 2010 CAT-Cams have a CAT1.5 or CAT2 in it.

On Martin's 2008 website specs, they show the models that were sold through Dick's. Obviously not rejects, just renamed gold series I'm betting.
