can i take the string off a saber without a bowpress?

Yes, you can. All Martin compound bows don't need a bowpress.

can someone tell me how? do i just back out the limb bolts?

Actually yeah.

You can back out the limb bolts until you can see the daylight trhough the barrel nut. As soon as you see light stop turning the bolt. There should be less enough tension on the limbs and strings/cables to do any job.

thanks, does anyone know what the ata on the 09 saber is supposed to be? the martin charts just show string length and mod draw length.
