What does 3L mean on the limbs ..010 Shadow Cat ? ...Thanks Dave

It is the limb deflection number. The higher the number the more max draw weight the bow will have. The letter is either L-M- or H for low, medium or high.
Also one number and one letter means that they are limbs built by Martin.
Some of their bows use Barnsdale limbs which use a 3 digit deflection number like 136 , 153, 173 etc...

As a 1L will make a 60# bow a 3L will give you a bow with somewhat around 70# of max drawweight.

1L on the 2 Shadowcats I've worked on won't make 60 pounds. One maxes at 54 and the other at 57. These are new bows. We took 57 pound one and twisted the cables and got 59 1/2 pounds, but ata was way short, 41 1/8". We did not shoot this bow, but drew it a few times and evidently the Dakota strings stretched and we were back to 41 1/4" and back to 57 pounds. Both bows are being addressed by Martin.
